I honestly didn’t think I could be more excited about my sisterlocks than I was once my installation was complete, but yesterday, I felt like I was on cloud 9 after my wash and retightening!

I battled with dry scalp almost immediately after my installation, so I was beyond ready for my first wash. She retightened my hair first, then washed it. She even restored the locks around the crown that I’d lost due to slippage.

The shrinkage is real, but for once, I didn’t mind. I’ve taken several selfies, but the photos don’t do the hair justice.  I love how my locks swoll and my ends curled up. I’m starting to get a feel for how much my locks will swell in time and I’m giddy. I wanted to get my hair styled, but with a race coming up in less than week, that wasn’t wise.

I was worried going in that it would take at least 3 hours to complete the wash and retightening due to the size of my tiny locs (I still have yet to count to see how many I have). But, the whole process was complete within 2.5 hours! Say what? Yep. I was already home shaking my hair by the time the 3rd hour rolled around.
