I scoured the ‘Net looking through videos and blog posts searching for whatever I’d need to prepare for my installation. I came up short more often than not. Here’s how I prepared for my appointment.
Preparing My Hair
Ideally, I should have washed my hair twice before my installation, but time got away from me and I was only able to get one good wash in today. I read that you shouldn’t condition before installation, so I skipped that step. After washing, I put my hair in 12 huge twists to dry. My scalp has a tendency to get dry, so I’m a bit concerned about having my sisterlocks for a full month before washing it. Lawd today.
